The Contrade of Siena jealously guard, inside their own museum sites, the testimonies of the Victory. The coveted prize that takes the name of Drappellone, palio or popularly cencio, is sanctioned today by two articles of the Palio Regulations. Unfortunately, much of what was produced by hand had been lost when the Contrade had not organized themselves systematically with their own speakers and their own museum sites yet. Despite the iconographic variations that have followed each other over the centuries. From the XVII century the constant element in Siena's Drappelloni is the Marian religious motif. Only on rare occasions of extraordinary Palii or Ricorse, the effigies of the patron saints appear. What is given below is intended to be a summation of the contributions known so far.
